I recently had the cnahce to chat with yet another wonderful Etsy seller-
AppleLovesOrange. Enjoy!
How did you get started in crafting?
The beading aspect is all my sister-in-laws fault! She got me started and I couldn't stop. I always wanted to be a photgrapher, so just playing around and learning I was recently convinced to try selling them.
What are some of the things that inspire you?
I love color! It can be very dangerous for me to step into a bead shop! As far as the photography, anything and everything around me.
What do you think would be the perfect project?
Anything that involves me in the craft room with some beads and some wire or outside with the camera... as long as my hubby will keep the kids occupied!
How long have you been selling on Etsy, and how long have you done what you do?
I opened my first shop in June of last year. Apple Loves Orange was opened in December.
Selling your work on Etsy, or online in general, can mean a lot of competition. Are you intiminated by this? Why or why not?
I am intimidated, especially when I'm really proud of something I've made and I think it's great, but it doesn't sell or hardly get looked at (even after serious promoting).
AppleLovesOrange will soon be adding note card sets, greeting cards, and gift tags soon, so be sure to drop by and see what's new!
