Welcome Galit!

I recently had the chance to speak with Galit, from Etsy, Enjoy the interview! *How did you get started in crafting? I started crafting as a child, I draw, painted, made jewelry and all kind of craft. Two years ago my big sister came from Thailand with lots of gems and shells and light again that fire in me. *What are some of the things that inspire you? I'm inspired by everything I guess, it could be the nature, my feelings, my thoughts. *What do you think would be the perfect project? The perfect project will be creating set of jewelry to a bride, thinking together about the design, shapes and colors, and of course to make it exactly as she dreamed! *How long have you been selling on Etsy, and how long have you done what you do? I started to crochet jewelry 2 years ago, and became a seller in august 2008. *Selling your work on Etsy, or online in general, can mean a lot of competition. Are you intimidated by this? Why or why not? I'm not intimidated from any competition, first of all because I'm very confident person, I love my jewelry, my friends like them, and I'm very proud of my designs. I think competition is a good thing, in my opinion it helps you improve, and raise you and your shop higher. Competition can become a bad thing when people are not supportive, when they intentionally try to damage your reputation, or when people copy your designs, I saw that on Etsy a few times and I felt really bad for the designers their artwork was copied. Two of Galit's favorites are http://lirola.etsy.com and http://rafya.etsy.com - drop by their shops and check them out! Here are some samples of her work!
